BEHIND THE SCENES OF 2TEAS: HOW WE CRAFT OUR REFRESHING BREWS

Behind every can of 2TEAS is a process that’s anything but bland. Wanna know how we cram so much awesomeness into those little metal cans? Well, grab a chair and let us spill the tea...literally!  

We believe that being better-for-you doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice on taste. So, what’s our secret? Let’s take you behind the scenes and show you how we created our delicious organic Rooibos tea fusions.

IT ALL STARTED WITH AN IDEA.. a flavourful one

First thing you need to know about our tea fusions are that flavour comes first.

Sure, we love making better-for-you organic Rooibos tea fusions, but if they don't taste like a FUN, FRESH, FIZZY taste-bud happy-dance, what are we even doing here?

We knew that the moment you cracked open a can of 2TEAS and took a sip, it's a make or break decision. It was either going to be a 'let's get our fancy glass and some ice to enjoy this!' or a 'I think we will rather just give this to visitors' decision.

So, we spent a fair chunk of time deciding which tea fusions we want to explore, where we can source high-quality, real tea leaves (or petals) for. Which tea fusions we reckon we could do justice and craft something truly delicky. Which do we reckon our 2TEAS lovers (that's you!) will find super lekkerrr.

Once we had the shortlist, it was time for development.

FLAVOUR DEVELOPMENT

We went through several tries, taste-testing each new blend. We tested. We reformulated. And we rinsed and repeated this process until we found a tea-fusion blend that met our high standards.

If it’s not lekkerrr, it doesn’t make the cut!

Every flavour underwent rigorous testing, sometimes even involving our loyal 2TEAS fans (mostly friends and family). We believe in making drinks that you’ll absolutely love, not just ones that we think are great.

JUDGING A CAN BY ITS COVER

Once we’ve perfected our tea fusion blends, we put our creative caps on once again. This time for designing eye-catching packaging. Our cans needed to not only look good, but also reflect the vibrant vibe of 2TEAS.

Once this was all ticked off, we sent our final designs to our printing crew who printed our labels.

PRODUCTION TIME

It’s time to bring our delicious cold brews to life!

We kick things off with the finest real teas, which we gently cold brew in small batches for hours, to lock in all that natural goodness, flavour & deliciousness!

When the brewing process is complete, we channel our inner tea aficionados and filter out anything that might resemble a tea leaf. Only the cleanest, purest tea makes it into your can. Because who wants a leafy surprise in their drink?

Next, we add the secret sauce to making it a lekkerrr bevvie. We mix in Sceletium tortuosum extract and L-Theanine along with a touch of natural sweetness. This mood-boosting blend is designed to make you want to dance like no one’s watching.

And then, it's time for the fizz! We add just the right amount of bubbles to make every sip feel like a party in a can! And now that we’ve dotted our teas and crossed our eyes, we’re ready to can, seal, and deliver. And don’t worry, no cans were harmed in the making of this beverage (we think).

With a tearful goodbye and a gentle pat, our refreshing teas set off into the wild, wild world (ahem, delivery truck), where they embark on a journey to your local supermarket, independent grocer or even your doorstep (how convenient?!).
